Nelson Guzmán is a Colombian born artist based in London. His current art and research practice is centred upon an exploration on the issue of natural depletion -or extractivism, the stories and aftermath of the Capitalocene era, and the concept of evil. Interested in the re-examination of often-overlooked resource exploitation narratives that are also the legacy of colonial enterprises, Guzmán works primarily with photography through an art practice that also incorporates visual material, text, maps, and critical writing.
